Possible Causes
Dirty or blocked ice full sensor window, Misaligned infrared emitter/receiver pair, Failed ice full sensor board, Loose wiring to sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working inside the ice storage area.
- Step 1 – Locate the ice full sensor: In many Pro Breeze models, an infrared sensor pair is mounted on opposite sides of the ice bin opening.
- Step 2 – Clean sensor lenses: Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water to gently clean the small plastic windows. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Step 3 – Check for obstructions: Ensure no ice pieces or plastic parts are blocking the beam path between the emitter and receiver.
- Step 4 – Verify alignment: Confirm both sensor modules are firmly mounted and facing each other directly. Tighten any loose mounting screws.
- Step 5 – Inspect wiring: Trace the sensor wires back to the control board. Reseat the connector and check for pinched or broken wires.
- Step 6 – Replace sensor if faulty: If the unit still shows E7 with a clear, aligned sensor, replace the Pro Breeze ice full sensor assembly (emitter and receiver pair).
- Step 7 – Test operation: After reassembly, run the unit and monitor. When the bin fills, the sensor should stop ice production; when ice is removed, it should resume.
