How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning. Do not use harsh chemicals inside the water system.
- Step 1 – Empty and rinse: Drain the reservoir and discard all ice. Rinse the reservoir with warm water.
- Step 2 – Deep clean: Fill the reservoir with a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water. Run a cleaning cycle if available, or run the unit for 15–20 minutes, then drain.
- Step 3 – Clean removable parts: Wash the ice basket, scoop, water tray, and reservoir with mild dish soap and rinse thoroughly.
- Step 4 – Flush system: Refill with fresh water and run at least two full ice cycles, discarding the ice.
- Step 5 – Use better water: Use filtered or bottled water to reduce future odors and scale.
