RCA ice maker flashes ICE or an ice cube icon and stops; ice basket is full and no new ice is produced.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before reaching into the ice bin or adjusting internal parts.

• Step 1 – Empty the bin: Remove the ice basket and dump excess ice. Dry the bin if there is heavy frost or slush.
• Step 2 – Check sensor or arm: Locate the ice full sensor (infrared window or mechanical arm). Make sure it is not blocked by ice and moves freely if it is an arm.
• Step 3 – Clean sensor: Wipe the sensor windows with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
• Step 4 – Restart: Reinstall the basket, plug in the unit, and start a new cycle. If ICE still flashes with an empty bin, the ice full sensor assembly may be defective and should be replaced.
