Ice maker interior light (if fitted) does not turn on when lid is opened

Safety: Unplug before accessing the light or lid switch.

• Check lid switch: Locate the small switch or sensor that detects lid opening. Press it manually to see if the light comes on.
• Inspect wiring: Ensure the wires to the light module are intact and connected.
• Replace light module: If the switch works but the light never illuminates, the LED module may need replacement.

A non-functioning light does not usually affect ice production but can be repaired for convenience.
