Possible Causes

Faulty start relay on PCB, Stuck relay contacts, Failed mode selector or start button, Corrupted control firmware

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug before removing covers.

  • Reset cycle: Turn the unit off, unplug for 10 minutes, then plug back in and press the power/start button firmly once.
  • Check indicators: Ensure no warning lights (e.g. 'Add Water' or 'Ice Full') are lit. Resolve those conditions first.
  • Listen for clicks: When starting a cycle, listen for a relay click from inside the unit. No click may indicate a failed relay or PCB.
  • Try different ice size: Select a different cube size setting to force the control to reinitialize.

If the compressor and fan never start despite correct water level and no error lights, the main control PCB or its relays likely require replacement.
