Possible Causes
Loose or missing drain plug, Cracked water reservoir, Disconnected internal hose, Overfilled reservoir
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and wipe up any spilled water to prevent slipping or electrical hazards.
- Check drain plug: Inspect the rear or bottom drain plug. Ensure it is fully inserted and the rubber is not perished or cracked.
- Do not overfill: Fill only to the MAX line in the reservoir. Overfilling can cause overflow through vents.
- Inspect reservoir: Remove the ice basket and visually inspect the reservoir for visible cracks or seams that leak when filled.
- Internal hose check (advanced): Remove the rear panel and look for any silicone hoses that have slipped off their barbs. Refit and secure with clamps if necessary.
If the reservoir is cracked or a molded internal part is leaking, replacement of the reservoir or internal tank assembly is required.
