Steps to resolve:

• Check water filter: If the refrigerator has a Samsung internal water filter, verify its age. Replace if older than 6 months or if water flow is slow. Use a genuine Samsung filter to ensure proper flow and fit.
• Inspect water line: Pull the refrigerator away from the wall. Check the 1/4" water supply line for kinks or crushing. Straighten or replace as needed. Inside the freezer, inspect the plastic line feeding the ice maker for signs of freezing or damage.
• Test the water inlet valve: With power disconnected, remove the rear access panel. Locate the ice maker water inlet valve (often part of a dual or triple valve). Check for mineral buildup at the outlet port. If heavily scaled or if the coil shows open circuit on a multimeter, replace the valve assembly.
• Thaw frozen lines: If the line to the ice maker is frozen, use a hair dryer on low heat to gently warm the line and fill tube. Avoid overheating plastic parts. Also verify freezer temperature is not set too low (ideal around -2°F to 0°F / -19°C to -18°C).

After corrections, restore power and water, then run the ice maker test cycle. Monitor for proper filling.
