Ice maker not making ice; display shows ICE OFF or the ice off indicator is lit.

Possible Causes

Ice off button accidentally pressed, Child lock or control lock engaged, User settings changed after cleaning or power outage

Safety first: No internal repair is needed; this is a user setting.

Steps:

Locate the Ice Off or Ice Maker button on the control panel.
Press the button once to toggle ice production back on. The ICE OFF indicator should turn off.
If the control panel is locked, press and hold the Lock or Child Lock button for 3–5 seconds to unlock, then change the ice setting.
Wait up to 24 hours for the ice maker to produce a full bucket of ice.
