Possible Causes

Water leak from ice maker fill tube, Cracked ice maker water line, Loose water inlet connection, Overflow from ice bucket or ice room

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator and turn off the water supply before inspecting for leaks.

Steps:

  • Inspect under and behind unit: Look for standing water under the refrigerator or around the rear water connections. Dry any water and identify the source.
  • Check ice maker lines: Remove the ice bucket and ice room cover. Inspect the plastic water line and fill tube feeding the ice maker for cracks, loose fittings, or signs of leakage.
  • Tighten or replace: Tighten any loose compression fittings. Replace cracked plastic lines or damaged fill tubes.
  • Leak sensor area: Some models have a leak sensor in the bottom pan. Dry the pan completely and ensure no further water drips before restoring power.

Once the leak is corrected and the area is dry, the LC error should clear and ice production can resume.
