  • Inspect bin thermostat bulb: On many Scotsman undercounter units, a sensing bulb or probe is mounted near the top of the bin. Ensure it is securely mounted, not buried in ice, and not damaged or kinked.
  • Reset power: After clearing ice around the sensor, restore power and allow the unit to cycle. The 'b' indication should clear once the thermostat warms up.
