Possible Causes
Drain line blocked, drain pump failure (if equipped), water inlet valve leaking by, water level sensor misreading, control board water logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power. Be prepared for water spillage when opening panels.
- Inspect drain: Check the drain hose for kinks, clogs, or improper elevation. Clear any obstructions and ensure proper slope.
- Check drain pump (if present): Listen for pump operation. If the pump hums but does not move water, the impeller may be jammed or the pump failed. Clean or replace as needed.
- Verify water inlet valve: Turn off water supply and see if water continues to enter the reservoir. If so, the inlet valve is leaking and must be replaced.
- Clean water level sensor: Remove scale from the water level probe or float assembly so it can accurately sense level.
- Test operation: After clearing the drain and servicing components, restore power and water and monitor for proper fill and drain cycles.
