How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before testing switches or relays.
- Check bin level: Empty the bin and ensure the bin thermostat or bin switch is not blocked by ice.
- Verify door closed: Confirm the bin door is fully closed and the door switch is actuated.
- Reset control: Turn the unit off for 5 minutes, then back on to clear any temporary lockout.
- Listen for relay click: When the unit should start, listen for a click from the control board. If no click and all safeties are satisfied, the control board may have a failed relay.
- Technician diagnosis: A professional can test control outputs to the compressor and fan and replace the control board if necessary.
