Possible Causes
Water inlet valve stuck open, water level sensor not shutting off fill, control board not closing valve, drain line restricted
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and water immediately to stop flooding.
- Check inlet valve: With power off, if water continues to flow, the valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
- Clean level sensor: Remove scale from the water level probe or float so it can accurately detect water level.
- Inspect drain: Ensure the drain is not blocked, which can make normal water levels appear as overfill.
- Control board: If the valve only overfills when energized and the sensor is clean, the control board may be keeping the valve on too long and require replacement.
