Possible Causes
Insufficient water in reservoir, Misaligned or stuck float, Dirty water level sensor probes, Unit not level causing false low reading
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before moving or tilting it.
Steps to clear ADD WATER:
- Refill reservoir: Remove the ice basket and pour clean, potable water into the reservoir up to the MAX line. Do not overfill.
- Level the unit: Use a bubble level or smartphone app to ensure the Silonn ice maker is on a flat, level surface. Adjust its position as needed.
- Check float/sensor: Look for a floating device or sensor in the reservoir. Make sure it moves freely and is not stuck by scale or debris.
- Clean the tank: Drain the reservoir, then clean it with a mixture of water and white vinegar. Rinse thoroughly and refill.
- Reset: Plug the unit back in and press the power button to restart. The ADD WATER message should clear once the sensor detects proper level.
When to call a professional: If the message persists with a full tank and clean sensor, the water level sensor or control board may need replacement.
