How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If the panel is damp, allow it to dry completely. Do not spray cleaners directly on the panel.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front panel and reseat the ribbon cable connecting the keypad to the control board.
- Check for corrosion: Look for signs of moisture damage on the keypad and board. Clean light corrosion with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- Replace keypad or display board: If buttons remain unresponsive, replace the membrane keypad or the entire display/control board assembly as designed for your SPT model.
