Possible Causes
Empty water reservoir, Stuck float switch, Mineral buildup on water level probes, Leaking reservoir causing low level
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the unit before cleaning the reservoir.
- Fill reservoir: Remove the ice basket and fill the reservoir with clean water up to the MAX line.
- Free the float: Locate the float or level sensor in the reservoir. Move it gently up and down to ensure it is not stuck. Clean any visible scale with a soft brush and vinegar solution, then rinse thoroughly.
- Check for leaks: Inspect the reservoir and hoses for cracks or drips that could cause the water level to drop.
- Reset: Plug the unit back in and restart. If the indicator remains on despite proper water level, the float switch or level sensor may be defective and require replacement.
