Improper Freeze Cycle / Short Freeze Time
Ice cubes are hollow, very small, or melt quickly in the bin.

Possible Causes
Incorrect ice size setting, Thermistor out of calibration, Control board terminating freeze cycle too early, High water temperature entering reservoir
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use only potable, cool water in the reservoir.
- Adjust ice size: Set the ice size to medium or large to extend the freeze time.
- Use cooler water: Fill the reservoir with cold tap water instead of warm water to reduce cycle time.
- Clean evaporator: Mineral buildup on the evaporator can reduce heat transfer. Turn off the unit, drain water, and clean the evaporator plate with a soft cloth and a 1:1 vinegar-water solution. Rinse thoroughly.
- Sensor check: If cubes remain hollow even on large setting, the evaporator thermistor or control board may be misreading temperature and should be tested and replaced if necessary.
