Possible Causes
Faulty water level sensor, Faulty ice full sensor, Crossed or damaged wiring harness, Control board input error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before working on sensors.
- Clean sensors: Thoroughly clean both the water level and ice full sensors.
- Inspect harness: Trace the wiring from sensors to the control board and ensure connectors are in the correct sockets and not damaged.
- Test individually: Temporarily disconnect one sensor at a time (with power off) and see how the display responds when powered back on, to help isolate the faulty sensor.
- Replace faulty sensor or board: Once identified, replace the defective sensor. If both test good, the control board may be misinterpreting signals and should be replaced.
