Ice maker interior or bin has visible mold, slime, or algae.

Safety: Unplug the unit and shut off water. Wear gloves when cleaning heavy contamination.

Deep cleaning:

• Discard all ice and remove the bin if possible.
• Scrub interior surfaces, bin, and reservoir with a mixture of warm water and mild detergent, followed by a sanitizing solution approved for food-contact surfaces.
• Clean or replace the water filter if equipped.
• Ensure the drain line is clear so water does not stagnate.

Reassemble, run a cleaning cycle with ice machine cleaner, then discard the first batches of ice.
