Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Moisture intrusion into control panel, Failed touchpad or button PCB, Corroded connectors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before removing the control panel.
- Step 1 – Inspect control panel: Check for signs of moisture, condensation, or spills around the buttons and display on your Teendow ice maker.
- Step 2 – Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the front bezel or panel to access the UI board. Carefully disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable or harness between the UI and main control board.
- Step 3 – Dry and clean: If moisture is present, allow the panel and connectors to dry completely. Use isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush to clean light corrosion on contacts.
- Step 4 – Test operation: Reassemble and power on. If E13 persists or buttons still misbehave, the UI board is likely defective.
- Step 5 – Replace UI panel: Install a Teendow-compatible user interface/control panel assembly, transferring any mounting hardware and seals.
