Possible Causes
Clogged water inlet screen, Failed water inlet valve coil, Faulty water level sensor, Kinked or blocked water supply line
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and shut off the water supply before servicing the water system.
- Step 1 – Verify water supply: Ensure the household shutoff valve feeding the Teendow ice maker is fully open. Straighten any kinks in the supply hose.
- Step 2 – Clean inlet screen: Disconnect the water line from the rear inlet fitting. Remove and rinse the small mesh screen inside the inlet valve with clean water to remove sediment.
- Step 3 – Inspect water inlet valve: With the rear panel removed, locate the water inlet valve assembly. Check for cracks, mineral buildup, or leaks. If the coil is burnt or the valve is stuck, replace the valve.
- Step 4 – Check water level sensor: On many Teendow models, a float or electronic water level sensor in the reservoir detects fill level. Clean the float and reservoir of scale and slime. Ensure the float moves freely and the sensor wiring is intact.
- Step 5 – Test operation: Restore water and power, then run a cycle. If E2 returns after cleaning and confirming flow, replace the water inlet valve and, if needed, the water level sensor.
