How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and drain or remove water from the reservoir before servicing the pump.
- Step 1 – Access water pump: Remove the front or top cover to reach the water reservoir and pump assembly on your Teendow ice maker.
- Step 2 – Clean pump and reservoir: Remove the pump intake screen or filter and rinse away scale, slime, and debris. Clean the reservoir thoroughly.
- Step 3 – Check impeller movement: Remove the pump (if accessible) and spin the impeller by hand. It should move freely. If jammed, clear debris or replace the pump.
- Step 4 – Bleed airlock: Refill the reservoir and tilt the unit slightly if needed to help trapped air escape from the pump housing.
- Step 5 – Replace pump: If the pump does not run when powered and wiring is intact, install a Teendow-compatible water circulation pump and retest.
