• Step 1 – Isolate noise source: Listen carefully to determine if the noise comes from the compressor area, fan, pump, or cabinet panels.
• Step 2 – Tighten hardware: Check and tighten compressor mounting bolts, fan shroud screws, and panel fasteners.
• Step 3 – Inspect fans and pump: Spin fan blades and pump impeller by hand. Replace any motor with excessive play or grinding.
• Step 4 – Add vibration pads: Place rubber pads under the unit’s feet to reduce transmitted vibration.
