Possible Causes
Loose evaporator mounting, Misaligned ice deflector or chute, Excessively thick ice slab, Warped cabinet panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before adjusting internal parts.
- Step 1 – Check ice thickness: If ice is very thick, adjust the ice thickness sensor to reduce slab size and impact during harvest.
- Step 2 – Inspect deflector and chute: Ensure the ice deflector and chute are firmly mounted and not striking the cabinet when ice drops.
- Step 3 – Tighten evaporator mounts: Verify the evaporator plate and its brackets are secure and not shifting during harvest.
- Step 4 – Add padding: Where safe, add thin foam or rubber strips between metal panels that are banging together.
