Teendow Insufficient Water Flow or Incorrect Ice Thickness

Ice maker produces ice, but ice is very small, thin, or hollow.

Possible Causes

Partially clogged water inlet valve, Restricted water filter (if equipped), Misadjusted ice thickness sensor, Low household water pressure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and close the water supply before servicing water components.

  • Step 1 – Check water pressure: Ensure household water pressure meets Teendow specifications. Very low pressure can cause thin ice.
  • Step 2 – Clean inlet screen and filter: Remove and rinse the inlet valve screen. Replace any inline water filter if installed and older than recommended.
  • Step 3 – Adjust thickness sensor: Locate the ice thickness probe and adjust it slightly closer to the evaporator (per manual) to allow a thicker slab before harvest.
  • Step 4 – Descale system: Run a full cleaning/descaling cycle using Teendow-approved cleaner to remove mineral buildup that can affect water distribution.
