Possible Causes
Partially clogged water inlet valve, Restricted water filter (if equipped), Misadjusted ice thickness sensor, Low household water pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and close the water supply before servicing water components.
- Step 1 – Check water pressure: Ensure household water pressure meets Teendow specifications. Very low pressure can cause thin ice.
- Step 2 – Clean inlet screen and filter: Remove and rinse the inlet valve screen. Replace any inline water filter if installed and older than recommended.
- Step 3 – Adjust thickness sensor: Locate the ice thickness probe and adjust it slightly closer to the evaporator (per manual) to allow a thicker slab before harvest.
- Step 4 – Descale system: Run a full cleaning/descaling cycle using Teendow-approved cleaner to remove mineral buildup that can affect water distribution.
