Possible Causes
Failed bin full sensor, Misaligned IR sensor pair, Stuck mechanical bin arm, Shorted sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before working in the bin area.
- Step 1 – Verify sensor type: Determine if your Teendow model uses an infrared sensor or mechanical arm to detect a full bin.
- Step 2 – Clean and align sensors: For IR systems, clean both emitter and receiver lenses and ensure they face each other correctly.
- Step 3 – Free mechanical arm: For arm-type sensors, ensure the arm moves freely and is not jammed by ice.
- Step 4 – Inspect wiring: Check for shorted or bypassed sensor wires that could signal “bin empty” continuously.
- Step 5 – Replace sensor: Install a new Teendow-compatible bin full sensor or switch if the original is defective.
