Possible Causes
Clogged water inlet filter, Defective water inlet valve, Kinked or pinched water supply hose, Low household water pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and close the water supply valve before servicing.
- Check water supply: Ensure the water tap feeding the Teka ice maker is fully open. Disconnect the inlet hose at the rear and briefly open the tap into a bucket to confirm strong flow.
- Clean inlet filter: At the connection point on the ice maker, remove the small mesh filter from the water inlet fitting. Rinse under running water and brush off any scale or debris, then reinstall.
- Inspect hose: Make sure the water hose is not kinked, crushed, or sharply bent behind cabinets. Reroute or replace the hose if damaged.
- Test water inlet valve: Access the internal water inlet valve assembly. Check the coil resistance with a multimeter (compare to service specs). If open or shorted, replace the valve. Also inspect for internal scale buildup blocking the valve.
- Reset and test: Restore water and power, then clear the error (if the model has a reset button or power-cycle reset). Start a new ice cycle and listen for the valve opening during fill.
