Possible Causes
Ambient temperature above design limit, Blocked ventilation grilles, Defective ambient thermistor, Unit installed in enclosed cabinet without airflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before moving or repositioning it.
- Measure room temperature: Confirm that the ambient temperature is within Teka's specified range. If the room is excessively hot, improve ventilation or relocate the unit.
- Check ventilation: Ensure front and rear grilles are not blocked by furniture, dust, or packaging. Maintain the minimum clearance specified in the manual.
- Clean air paths: Vacuum dust from intake and exhaust vents. Make sure warm air from the condenser can escape freely.
- Test ambient sensor: If the environment is normal but the error persists, test and replace the ambient thermistor as described for E16.
- Restart: After correcting airflow and sensor issues, restore power and verify that the error clears and ice production resumes.
