Ice maker runs continuously without stopping, even when bin is full

Safety first: Unplug the unit before working near sensors or wiring.

• Clean and inspect sensor: Wipe the bin level sensor lenses or mechanical switch arm. Remove any ice buildup or debris.
• Check alignment: Ensure IR emitter and receiver are facing each other and not loose. Adjust if necessary.
• Test switch/sensor: Use a multimeter to verify that the sensor changes state when the bin is full (simulate with your hand or by lifting the arm). Replace if it does not respond.
• Control board check: If the sensor works but the unit ignores it, the main board input may be faulty and require replacement.
