Water pooling inside the ice bin or cabinet

Safety first: Disconnect power before working inside the cabinet.

• Clear internal drain: Remove the ice bin and locate the drain opening. Flush with warm water to melt any ice and dislodge debris.
• Check drain routing: Ensure the external drain hose slopes continuously downward to the drain point. Correct any upward loops.
• Defrost frozen drain: If the drain line is frozen, unplug the unit and allow it to thaw completely. Avoid using sharp tools.
• Test drain pump: For pumped-drain models, verify that the pump runs and discharges water. Replace the pump if it hums but does not move water.
• Verify operation: After clearing, pour a small amount of water into the bin area and confirm it drains away quickly.
