Ice appears cloudy or white instead of clear

• Step 1 – Descale evaporator: Run a full cleaning cycle with ice machine cleaner to remove mineral deposits that disrupt clear ice formation.
• Step 2 – Check water quality: If your water is very hard, consider installing a water softener or filtration system upstream of the ice maker.
• Step 3 – Verify purge operation: Observe that the unit properly drains and refills between cycles. If not, inspect the drain and water level sensor.

Some cloudiness is normal with hard water; improving water quality yields the clearest ice.
