How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Use only cleaners approved for ice machines and follow label directions.
- Step 1 – Discard old ice: Empty the bin completely and discard any ice with off-odors.
- Step 2 – Clean interior surfaces: Wipe the bin, walls, and door gasket with a mild detergent solution, then rinse with clean water.
- Step 3 – Run cleaning cycle: Use U-Line recommended ice machine cleaner to descale and sanitize the water system and evaporator. Rinse thoroughly per instructions.
- Step 4 – Flush water line: If possible, flush the household water line feeding the unit to remove stagnant water.

Allow the unit to produce and discard the first few batches of ice after cleaning before regular use.
