• Step 1 – Inspect door gasket: Look for tears, gaps, or hardened sections. Close the door on a sheet of paper; it should grip firmly all around.
• Step 2 – Adjust door alignment: If the door is sagging, adjust hinges or mounting screws so the gasket contacts evenly.
• Step 3 – Check bin thermistor: Test and replace the bin thermistor if it is misreading temperature and not signaling proper cooling.
• Step 4 – Reduce door openings: Minimize frequent or prolonged door openings that allow warm air in.

After repairs, monitor bin temperature and ice retention over 24 hours.
