Loud banging or knocking noise during ice harvest

Safety First: Disconnect power before reaching into the bin or evaporator area.

• Step 1 – Empty bin: Remove all ice and inspect for foreign objects or large fused chunks that may be striking the bin walls.
• Step 2 – Check bin seating: Ensure the bin is fully inserted and level. Misalignment can cause ice to hit the bin edge.
• Step 3 – Inspect evaporator mounting: Verify the evaporator plate is firmly secured and not flexing excessively during harvest. Tighten mounting screws if accessible.
• Step 4 – Break up large slabs: If ice is forming as large slabs, perform a cleaning/descaling cycle to restore proper cube separation.

Persistent loud mechanical noises may indicate a structural issue and should be inspected by a technician.
