Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse in home panel, Faulty power cord, Defective main power switch, Failed internal power supply on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before inspecting the cord or internal components.
Steps to troubleshoot no power:
- Check outlet: Plug a lamp or tester into the same outlet to confirm it has power. Reset any tripped breakers or replace blown fuses in the home panel.
- Inspect power cord: Examine the Vestfrost ice maker's power cord for cuts, burns, or crushed sections. If damaged, replace the power cord with the correct rated part.
- Verify main switch: If your model has a rocker or toggle power switch, ensure it is in the ON position. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter and replace if faulty.
- Internal fuse: Some Vestfrost models have an internal fuse on the main PCB. With the unit unplugged, access the control compartment and visually inspect the fuse. Replace only with the same type and rating if blown.
- PCB power supply: If the outlet, cord, switch, and fuse are good but there is still no power, the internal low-voltage power supply on the main control PCB may have failed and the board will need replacement.
Warning: Do not bypass fuses or safety devices. If you are not comfortable working with mains voltage, contact a qualified technician.
