Possible Causes

Bin full sensor indicating full when empty, Door switch not recognized as closed, Control panel in cleaning or standby mode, Faulty start button or keypad

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: If you need to remove panels, unplug the unit first.

Steps to restore operation:

  • Check bin and sensors: Empty the ice bin and ensure the bin full sensor or arm is not blocked or stuck in the "full" position.
  • Verify door closure: Make sure all doors and access panels are fully closed and that the door switch operates correctly (interior light should turn off when closed).
  • Exit cleaning/standby mode: Consult the Vestfrost manual to ensure the unit is not in cleaning or standby mode. Press and hold the appropriate buttons to exit.
  • Test start button: Try starting the unit using the on/off or start button. If the button feels stuck or unresponsive, the user interface panel may need replacement.

Tip: A full power reset (unplug for 5–10 minutes) can clear some control lockouts.
