Ice maker cabinet feels hot to the touch on the sides or top

Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing any panels. Surfaces may be hot; allow cooling time.

• Step 1 – Check clearances: Ensure the unit has the minimum side, rear, and top clearances specified by Viking.
• Step 2 – Inspect vents and grille: Clean dust and lint from the front grille and any side/rear vents.
• Step 3 – Verify condenser fan: Confirm the fan runs whenever the compressor is on. Replace the fan motor if it is not operating.

After restoring proper ventilation and fan operation, cabinet temperatures should return to normal.
