Possible Causes
Unit not leveled, Loose mounting brackets, Uneven floor, Compressor or fan vibration transmitted to cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use caution when moving or tilting the unit; get assistance to avoid injury.
- Step 1 – Level the unit: Use a bubble level on top of the ice maker. Adjust the front and rear leveling legs until the unit is level side-to-side and front-to-back.
- Step 2 – Check cabinet clearance: Ensure the sides and top are not tightly wedged against cabinetry. Provide the clearances specified by Viking.
- Step 3 – Tighten mounting hardware: If the unit is built-in, verify that all mounting brackets and screws are secure.
- Step 4 – Add vibration pads: Place anti-vibration pads under the leveling legs if the floor is prone to transmitting vibration.
After adjustments, run the unit and confirm that vibration and rattling are minimized.
