Unit displays cleaning reminder or indicator and performance is reduced

Safety first: Follow Viking’s cleaning instructions and use only approved ice machine cleaner. Wear gloves and eye protection.

• Step 1 – Enter clean mode: Use the control panel to start a cleaning cycle if your model supports it.
• Step 2 – Add cleaner: Pour the recommended amount of cleaner into the reservoir as directed.
• Step 3 – Run full clean and rinse cycles: Allow the unit to circulate cleaner, then drain and rinse multiple times until no cleaner remains.
• Step 4 – Reset reminder: Follow the manual to reset the cleaning indicator.

Regular cleaning (every 6 months or as water quality dictates) prevents many performance issues.
