Safety first: Disconnect power before testing switches or sensors.

Step 1 – Verify door closed: Ensure the bin door is fully closed and the switch actuates properly.
Step 2 – Check bin sensor: Test the bin level sensor or thermistor for proper operation; replace if it falsely indicates full.
Step 3 – Clear lockout: Unplug the unit for 10 minutes to reset the control. Some models require a specific button sequence to clear faults; consult the manual.
Step 4 – Inspect control relays: If sensors are good, the compressor or pump relay on the board may be stuck open. Replace the main control board if relays are not energizing with proper input.

After repair, confirm that the unit starts a normal cycle when turned on.
