Internal Leak / Poor Drainage
Water pooling inside the ice bin or under the evaporator

Possible Causes
Clogged internal drain, Misaligned drain pan, Ice bridging over drain opening, Partially blocked drain hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working inside the bin or near electrical components. Melted ice can make surfaces slippery.
- Step 1 – Clear ice obstructions: Remove all ice from the bin and inspect the drain opening. Break up any ice bridge or blockage.
- Step 2 – Flush internal drain: Pour warm (not boiling) water into the drain opening and observe flow. If slow, use a flexible plastic brush or drain snake to clear the line.
- Step 3 – Check drain pan alignment: Ensure the internal drain pan is properly seated and sloped toward the drain outlet.
- Step 4 – Inspect external hose: Verify that the hose from the internal drain to the household drain is not kinked or elevated above the outlet.
Once drainage is restored, dry the bin and monitor for recurring pooling during operation.
