Ice maker runs but never gets cold enough to form ice; display may show E03 after extended run time.

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components. Avoid bending or puncturing the evaporator coil.

• Confirm symptom: Fan and compressor run, but the evaporator plate or grid does not frost properly and the unit throws E03.
• Locate the evaporator sensor: Remove the interior ice bin and front cover to access the evaporator plate. The Weasy evaporator NTC is usually clipped or glued to the evaporator surface with two small wires leading back to the control board.
• Inspect the sensor: Check for broken wires, corrosion, or a sensor that has fallen off the evaporator. Reattach with thermal paste and a clip if it has come loose.
• Test resistance: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the sensor from the harness and measure resistance with a multimeter. Compare to the Weasy service chart (typically 5–20 kΩ depending on temperature). A reading of 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a bad sensor.
• Check connectors: Reseat the sensor plug on the main control board. Clean any oxidation with contact cleaner.
• Replace the evaporator NTC sensor if readings are out of range. If a known-good sensor still triggers E03, the temperature input circuit on the main control board may be defective and the board should be replaced.
