Possible Causes

Failed water inlet solenoid valve, Clogged inlet screen with sediment, Low household water pressure, Kinked or pinched water supply line

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and shut off the water supply valve before disconnecting any water lines.

  • Verify water supply: Confirm the household shutoff valve feeding the Weasy ice maker is fully open. Check that other fixtures on the same line have good pressure.
  • Inspect the supply hose: Look for kinks, sharp bends, or crushing behind the unit. Straighten or replace the hose if damaged.
  • Access the inlet valve: Remove the rear panel to locate the Weasy water inlet valve where the supply hose connects.
  • Clean the inlet screen: Turn off water, disconnect the hose, and gently remove any mesh screen in the valve inlet. Rinse out sediment and reinstall.
  • Test the valve coil: With power disconnected, measure resistance across the valve terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed coil.
  • Check for valve operation: After reassembly, restore power and start a cycle. Listen for a click and water flow when the unit calls for fill. If there is a click but no water, the valve may be mechanically stuck or water pressure is too low.
  • Replace the water inlet valve assembly if the coil is open, the valve is stuck, or cleaning does not restore flow.
