Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and be prepared for water spillage when opening drain components.

• Inspect external drain line: Ensure the drain hose is not kinked, elevated too high, or blocked at the termination point.
• Check internal drain channel: Remove the ice bin and look for ice chips or debris blocking the drain opening at the bottom of the bin or reservoir. Clear any obstructions.
• Access the drain pump: Remove the lower front or rear panel to locate the Weasy drain pump assembly.
• Clean pump and hoses: Disconnect hoses from the pump and flush them with warm water. Check the pump inlet for debris.
• Test the pump motor: Measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed pump. If safe and experienced, you can briefly power the pump directly to confirm operation.
• Check drain level float: If equipped, inspect the drain float switch for free movement and test continuity as the float moves.
• Replace the drain pump or float switch assembly if they are seized, electrically open, or stuck.
