Possible Causes
Leaking water inlet fitting, Cracked reservoir or hose, Loose pump or drain connection, Faulty leak sensor stuck in wet state
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and shut off the water supply immediately to prevent further leakage.
- Remove exterior panels: Take off the lower front or side panels to access the base pan area.
- Locate the leak sensor: Many Weasy models use a small float or conductivity sensor in the base pan. Check if it is sitting in water.
- Dry the base: Use towels or a wet/dry vacuum to remove all standing water. Gently dry the sensor.
- Identify the leak source: Inspect the water inlet valve, reservoir, circulation pump, drain pump, and all hoses for drips or cracks. Run a brief test with water supply on while watching for leaks (keep electrical areas dry).
- Tighten or replace components: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked hoses or reservoir, and reseal fittings as needed.
- Replace the leak sensor if it remains triggered even when dry.
