Possible Causes
Water leak from internal tubing, Cracked water sump or reservoir, Loose hose clamp, Faulty leak sensor in base pan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and turn off the water supply immediately to prevent further leakage.
- Inspect base pan: Remove the lower front or rear panel and check for standing water in the base. Use towels or a wet/dry vacuum to remove water.
- Locate leak source: With water still off, inspect all internal hoses, the water sump, inlet valve connections, and pump housing for cracks or loose clamps.
- Tighten and reseal: Tighten hose clamps and replace any cracked tubing. Use manufacturer-approved clamps and fittings.
- Check leak sensor: Many models have a small float or conductivity sensor in the base. Clean it and ensure it moves freely or has dry contacts. Replace the leak sensor if corroded or stuck.
- Test under observation: Restore water and briefly power the unit while watching for new leaks. Shut off immediately if any are found and correct them.
