How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit and shut off water before cleaning. Use only food-safe cleaners approved for ice machines.

  • Replace filter: If equipped, replace the water filter cartridge according to the schedule or sooner if taste issues occur.
  • Clean sump and bin: Drain the unit and clean the water sump, ice bin, and all accessible surfaces with an ice maker cleaner or a mild bleach solution (follow manufacturer dilution guidelines). Rinse thoroughly.
  • Flush supply line: Disconnect the inlet line and flush several liters of water through it before reconnecting.
  • Discard first batches: After cleaning, discard the first 2–3 bins of ice to ensure all cleaner is removed.
