Possible Causes
Loose drain hose connection, Cracked drain hose, Overly long or improperly routed drain line, Loose inlet fitting at valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close the water supply valve.
- Inspect drain hose: Check the entire length of the drain hose for cracks, splits, or loose clamps at both the unit and household drain.
- Verify routing: Ensure the drain hose slopes continuously downward with no loops that can trap water and cause backflow.
- Check inlet fittings: Tighten the compression or threaded fittings at the water inlet valve and shutoff valve. Replace any damaged ferrules or gaskets.
- Test for leaks: Turn water back on slowly and observe all connections while the unit fills and drains.
