Whirlpool refrigerator ice maker produces no ice but water dispenser works fine

Safety: Unplug refrigerator and shut off water before servicing.

• Check fill tube for ice: Inspect and thaw if frozen.
• Test dual valve: At the rear valve, identify the ice maker solenoid. Check coil resistance and energize it in diagnostic mode. Replace the valve if the ice maker side does not open.
• Verify harness connection: Ensure the ice maker’s electrical connector is fully seated at the ceiling or rear wall.
