Whirlpool undercounter ice maker circulation pump not running (no water flowing over evaporator)

Safety: Disconnect power and close the water supply.

• Access pump: Remove the front panel and locate the circulation pump near the reservoir.
• Inspect wiring: Ensure the pump connector is fully seated and wires are intact.
• Check for obstructions: Remove the pump and inspect the impeller for debris or scale. Clean thoroughly.
• Test pump motor: Measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Replace the pump assembly if defective.
• Verify control output: In diagnostic mode, command the pump on and check for voltage at the pump connector. If no voltage, the control board may be faulty.
